Meet your hosts

Larseng Kystferie opened in 2014 and is run daily by Trine Hilbertsen, Geir Mørk and their daugher Stine Mørk. We speak Norweagian and English, and Trine also speaks a little German. We have chickens and Arya who is a elkhaund the Norweagian national dog.

Grounded in Family History

The property is situated at Geir’s ancestral home, which has been passed down through his family for generations. Years ago, this land was a small, active farm keeping cows, sheep, and chickens. To supplement the family income, the man of the house would also work as a traditional coastal fisherman. Before the time of tractors, the family's horses performed all the hardest work out in these fields and woods.

We took over the farm many years ago. While we do not keep livestock ourselves today, a neighboring farmer uses our land to grow his crops, keeping the rolling agricultural landscape alive and well.
